Japanese EM Diatomite is a fully uncalcined product. Almost all manufacturers calcine diatomite rock. However, to calcine diatomite, you destroy the effectiveness of the pores and our products maximum efficiency.

The solidification material is slaked line which is calcined among halite over many hours. It's alkalinity is anti-mold and combined with calcined scallop shells has bactericidal action.

The ingredients of EM Diatomite

  • Siliceous shale (uncalcination) - Using Wakkanai Siliceous shale. Containing highest level, 58% of siliceous shale.

​

  • Calcined scallop - Improve absorbing-resolving function against volatile organic compounds (VOC) and shows fine bactericidal action.

​

  • Slaked lime - Using slaked lime which is roasted with rock salt for a long time to avoid that the particles cover the pores of diatomite.

​

  • Colored clay - Colored by natural mineral pigment. Using one from Gunma prefecture.

​

  • Edible laver/Kenaf Binding material
